The Love , The Power , The Unity  of Women

Throughout the gestation period of this track I have been lovingly supported by women, and a couple of men ...but  the sisters are the ones who held me up , held my heart and over many coffees,  chocolates and the occasional liquor  and lots of laughs IAGBAM has been birthed.

The women in the film clip are not just my friends. They are all multi talented , shinning hearts , professional , creative and nearly all mothers , like myself.  

Some of them had to be almost dragged into being on film and I admire their guts for not just turning up but shinning even tho inside they were shaking.  I used masks throughtout the clip for several reasons. We all put subliminal masks on when we go out into the world not believing in our BAM. 

All women are beautiful but often become objects  to others because of their beauty. And best of all it got the shyest of the group to loosen up and by the end of it they didn't need the masks anymore.

When I was editing the film clip I found myself in tears, laughing and being amazed at how , in the moment they each added a part of their true inner magnificence to the clip. The strength of these women and the different things they have all been through is for me, was why I chose them.

Represented not only in their physical diversity these women cover all aspects of being a woman ; 

single mother,  divorced, happily married,  single independant woman , lesbian and the youngest in our group -daughter and yet to be dating , and the youngest is for me who I am singing out to .

The diversity of these women is amazing; Designer Rachel Amber Design. , Teacher,  Healer     http://redspasanctuary.com.au , Midwife,  Website designer , Massuer , Mosiac artist , Bird watcher ,  Vegetable Grower/Distributer , Painter , Sculpture , Dj and Horticulturalist !

This song is telling young women they are BAM that they don't have to take a guy who is going to PMD and especially PMR .  To give them a modern langauge they can identify with and  not get involved with a DDI and especially a MFP . 

The two women who filmed the clip that you never see, are women I hold dear in my heart , completely different to each other , but both amazing shinning stars in their own right. Huge gratitude  goes out to them. Liz and Alanna I love you .

Owned and run by a wonderful female couple , much gratitude to them also, for staying back after closing hours to let us dance around in the front garden . As a lover of disco how could I ever go past a shop that has a giant mirror ball in the front ! The stock inside is funky , fabulous and unique too and supports many local artisans. Great clothes, kids toys , jewellery , handbags , plants and more Blessings ladies.

The bar scene and fabulous chaise lounge scenes were filmed at the glamourous Frangos and Frangos establishment on Vincent Street in Daylesford. Thankyou to Bernard and staff for your fabulous cocktails and support of IAGBAM.

what young girls and their parents should know about dating trends

MY Message to the young girls of the world and to parents who have young girls about to start dating ...taken from the acronym's from my IAGBAM song.

AFD - Anal Fucking Disorder.

Seriously at my age I thought I had seen it all , heard it all or been told it all.  When I split from the father of my child , out of complete boredom I joined two different dating sites. Profile , picture little blurb, women get to join free - many of you know the drill harmless right? NO!

The first communication seemed normal, "Hi I am Barry , like your pic, what do you do " blah blah . Then the second message from Barry- " I can't wait to fuck your arsehole" WTF !!!! I almost fell off my chair.

Now I am no prude.I used to work in the niteclub industry and ran a B&D (Bondage and Discipline) club... I never did any of it but my theory was to each their own, no judgement just don't ask me to go up for a whipping , thanks for coming and let's get paid.  But anal sex is another thing all together.

Some one I know who used to go to these clubs recently posted on facebook and article called  "Anal is the new pussy". THAT"S IT I cracked it ( in australia that means i got really upset), I feel as my duty of protector of women , raising the vibration etc etc to inform young women this is not ok . Getting your anus bleached of hair lasered off is twisted and completely stupid. Mate if you have that much spare cash give it a homeless person or a charity that helps the poor FFS.

Now back to the anal sex issue...


I went to my girlfriends and asked them and here is the responses;

"Are you kidding? tell them to go put their dick in a tree "!!

"You have to be in a long term relationship, trust and connected before they can even think about it"

I even asked one of my longest standing male BFF's and he said he broke up with a girl because she wanted to do it , it has never been even a curiousity for him.

When I started making this track , I was trying to think up acronym's all the time. Then it became apparent through posts on facebook and reading articles that this is what young women are being told is the new thing to do. I feel it is my duty to pass on information to women - especially young ones ,

THIS CAN BE RAPE , THIS IS NOT "NORMAL" .

If you have only dated a man for a small amount of time this should not even be coming up..they do have AFD (Anal Fucking Disorder)! I cannot stress enough to young women that this over generations has never been "NORMAL" . there are some cultures that would do it for "contraceptive reasons", excuse me while I go vomit- we all know that does not hold up in this day and age. This practise can be physically damaging and psychologically too . I do know of a young girl who was raped in this way and it has had a huge effect. If he is not interested in the wonders of your glorious vagina first and foremost then tell him to go find that tree !! What you explore together after years of deep connection and intimacy is then your own adventure or pleasure

BAM - Ancient wisdom for the new paradigm 

I Am Beautiful I Am Magnificent

This part of the acronym came from a Maori ceremony I participated in  in 1999.
 It was run by Aunty Kitty a Maori elder out in a a bush town in  Victoria. The ceremony began with some prayers to the earth , spirit and the four directions then we walked over to where there was a stone spiral labyrinth  set in a clearing of trees where we were asked to compete the labyrinth in total silence , not look at each other or talk to each other , when we passed each other were to look at the ground . One by one were guided to walk through it and the whole time in our head we had to say " I am beautiful and magnificent" for that is how the creator, our ancestrors that have crossed over , angels and ascended masters see us- ALWAYS 

.  At the end we were to go up to a tree and ask it for forgiveness for something. I asked the trees to forgive us humans for our lack of regard for deforestation. At the end we came back together as a group , Aunt said to me you look like you hugged the whole forest , I beamed "that was what I wanted to do " many women were crying and feeling blessed by it, Aunty told us that it may take days, weeks or even years to feel the power of the ceremony. Every now and then over the years I would remember it , however it wasnt until I was at my lowest trying to work out how to end my violent relationship that I remembered , "oh wait a minute I am beautiful and magnificent " . Anyone , which is nearly all humanity that has been verbally abused, bullied or hit understands how this effects our self esteem. As soon as I remembered my true magnificence it was like he could sense it and I knew it was time to start planning the end. 

After around a year of being away from that relationship I started thinking about how I could share this powerful ceremony , in a modern world as who drives around with a truck full of rocks and has a spare 1/4 acre to create this? 

So I came up with the new millennium acronym of  IAGBAM as a way for people  to empower them self NOW completely in this time and space no matter where you are  . For many of us we cannot  get to do this ceremony , so I am passing on the knowledge and wishing all people say this to themselves DAILY in a new modern way IAGBAM- I Am Goddess Beautiful And Magnificent . Ok I added a word and let me explain incase you never read any other of my blogs that the word "goddess' is merely the femine aspect of god - for we are always both and the imbalance is what has caused so much mental health issues in our society.

The men were also to do this ceremony and if we had time we were to go to the labyrinth set up for them and balance ourselves, so it is about the balance of both fellas.

On my journey in life I have attended some different gatherings sharing indigenous wisdom and experienced different empowering and healing practitioners. Body work , kinesiology , NPL , EFT and meditation.

Many people are sceptical however if you find a the right person you can truely experience great personal empowerment and if you want it you can get your IAGBAM on and get the self love happening, it is essential to your happiness and wellbeing. Take care out there, be kind to yourself and one another .

IAGBAM - what's it all about?

My mother was my best friend, 6 months before she died we had , as we often did, one of own little jokes....

Ever since I was around 13 I heard her constantly saying , with reference to my father Give Me Strength - which was her shortened version of God Give Me Strength Not To Kill Him. Now my mother deeply loved my father but he did things that constantly infuriated her. Her way of dealing with it was to say "GIVE ME STRENGTH" either loudly or under her breath depending on the situation.  SO one day I rang her and I said "you know that Usher with his OMG track?You should say GMS  every time  Dad does something annoying" . well she burst out laughing , she thought that was great . I too had a partner it  was in my second relationship , which was going dismally wrong and I had now had my only child who was 2 years old.
We spoke at least once a week, sometimes twice and so the next phone call I made to her I rang up and asked how she was , her reply- "GMS" I replied "me too" and we both cracked up laughing.

Six months later she was gone and to this day  I miss her dearly . So this song is an ode to her and what created for me a need to change the way women live their lives. Acronyms for the new millenium , as it would seem, no one can say a proper sentence anymore- #I'm fucking serious .

My mother grew up in a time where men "wore the pants" yet it was women who truely ran the household and my father would agree with this to this day. Sure he made the money but she got us to school, fed , clothed, educated enforced good manners, hosted and ran the dinner parties, got us to basketball games, friends houses, picked up from the nightclub at 2am etc

However the world was completely patriachal and demeaning of women , and it is improving but there are MANY things still out of balance- I am hoping with this song to turn this around.

We ladies know this now our modern world it seems everyone wants to use acronym's. So I decided girls and women needed a new set exclusively to help them communicate their concerns frustrations or dissatifaction with the male species. For young single girls I wanted them to be able to communicate quickly and easily when they are out looking for a potential boyfriend/partner. This is  not exclusive to hetrosexual females , I have many lesbian friends and I want all women to be empowered and deeply loved when entering a relationship.

For women in a relationship, there are times when you beloved does those little things that make you want to lose your shit in a heartbeat so now you can say in your mind or outloud "GMS" have a little laugh or grit your teeth. Be thankful you have a partner , we all come here to experience love and companionship , if you have that there can still be those little GMS times. My mother will laugh with you, infact I am sure all women will.
